About Master of Information Technology (Information Systems Development)

Graduates move into roles such as IT analyst, solution designer, IT consultant, ICT project manager, business analyst, security engineer and software developer, working for a range of private and public sector organisations.

The degree is delivered over two years, split into four sessions. Full-time study requires about 48 hours per week and includes core subjects on programming, data structures, database systems, system analysis, project management, web development, network design and security, plus professional and ethical issues.

The programme welcomes applicants with or without an existing IT background who hold a recognised bachelor’s degree (average 60%) or have substantial professional experience and wish to gain the technical and managerial skills needed for senior positions in the ICT sector.
