Master of Engineering - M.E in Electronics Engineering (Microelectronics and VLSI Technology) at MSIS, Manipal, is a two-year, AICTE-approved, industry-oriented postgraduate degree program. The Microelectronics and VLSI Technology program aims at imparting the knowledge and enhancing the skill sets required to work in the rapidly growing VLSI Design industries and Govt. of India’s initiative to create a Microelectronics and VLSI Technology hub using semiconductor ecosystem. Students are taught how to use industry standard Electronic Design Automation tools such as Cadence, Intel FPGA, and Altera to design, verify, characterize, and IC packaging of integrated circuits that meet specified design constraints and specifications. The program is motivated by Semi-conductor Laboratory, an autonomous body under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
