Materials engineering examines the properties, processing and performance of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites, addressing how materials can be selected, designed and managed to meet the demands of modern industry and society. The programme explores metallic materials, corrosion, wear and fatigue, material selection and strategic management, linking theory with applied projects and research.

Graduates move into roles such as Materials Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Production Engineer or Environmental Engineer across sectors including energy generation, transportation, manufacturing, mining and medical technology. Employers value the professional accreditation and the hands-on experience gained during the degree.
