Master of Education

Graduates of the Master of Education in Biology are equipped to teach at the secondary level. The programme offers deep dives into both the subject itself and how to teach it effectively, with a focus on practical experience through the integrated semester-long practicum. The programme is co-developed with the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.

Students choose a specialisation in human biology, ecology, or molecular biology/biotechnology, and take mandatory modules such as Introduction to Biology Education Research, Education for Sustainable Development, and Teaching Human Biology. This preparation leads to careers in secondary education, further study, or roles in biological research and education.
