About Master Design Parcours Prospective Design

Students on the Master Design Parcours Prospective Design are introduced in the first semester to the concept of eco-design. They learn to evaluate and implement sustainable solutions for organisations seeking to develop innovative products or processes. The programme partly results from a partnership between IAE Saint-Étienne and École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, with courses delivered across both campuses by an interdisciplinary team of lecturers and researchers.

It includes modules such as marketing ethnological, IP law, and sustainable design, as well as a 4–6 month work placement in the final semester. Students engage with complex real-world problems, gaining skills in design, management, and engineering, and in the final year they complete a research project and dissertation.

Graduates go on to roles such as design manager, innovation consultant, and project coordinator in a wide range of sectors, including industry, services, consultancies, and public bodies.
