The MSc in Management and Economics at the University of Tübingen trains students to analyse strategic interaction between firms, design incentive systems, and develop business strategies using game-theoretic and principal-agent frameworks. The curriculum covers strategic firm behaviour, managerial economics, personnel economics, and industrial organisation. Students gain analytical skills in game theory and principal-agent theory that can be applied to selecting performance measures, designing incentive structures, and managing human capital. The programme is designed as a three-semester course, starting in the winter semester. Core courses teach the essentials of both management and economics with an emphasis on their interconnection. Specialisation studies allow students to focus according to their interests, and electives may be chosen from business administration or economics. Students entering with a three-year Bachelor's degree of 180 ECTS are required to earn 30 additional ECTS credits, adding a fourth semester to meet degree requirements.
