About Bachelor in Law in Practice with a Foundation Year, LLB (Hons)

In the third year, students on Swansea's LLB Law in Practice undertake a paid internship with a legal employer, gaining first-hand experience of legal practice. The four-year degree covers the foundations of legal knowledge, including Contract Law, Tort Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts, and EU Law, satisfying the academic stage of training required by the Bar Standards Board and providing a basis for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

The course combines theory and practice, requiring students to critically engage with legal principles and their impact on society while developing analytical thinking, ethical reasoning and a global perspective. A built-in Foundation Year prepares students for the degree before they progress into the LLB.
