About Master in Laïcité et liberté religieuse

The Laïcité et liberté religieuse programme includes a module on identifying and preventing radicalisation. It is aimed at cadres religieux, responsables d’associations cultuelles, aumôniers, and étudiants wishing to gain a deeper understanding of religious freedoms and the principle of laïcité. The programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the socio-historical context, legal framework, and institutional practices related to laïcité and religious liberty in France. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including the historical and sociological aspects of laïcité and religions, the legal frameworks governing religious freedom, and practical applications in public and private spheres.

Modules

There are five modules including Introduction à la laïcité, la laïcité, sphère publique, sphère privée, institutions et organisations laïques, histoire et sociologie de la laïcité et des religions au 20ème siècle, and Identification et prévention des phénomènes de radicalisation.

Classes are held six hours per week, from January to June, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 17:00 to 20:00.
