Bachelor in Kindheitspädagogik Dual (B.A.)

At the FH Potsdam, the Fachbereich Sozial- und Bildungswissenschaften is a leading centre for studying Kindheitspädagogik. The dual Bachelor's programme Kindheitspädagogik Dual combines study, learning, and practical work in the education and care of children, with students spending 3 days a week in lectures and 2 days in a kindergarten or other childcare facility.

Students engage in theoretical and practical experiences to support children's development and education, from birth until 12 years. The programme develops a research-oriented, observing, and critically self-reflective approach to support children and families in their educational processes. Students also receive a monthly financial allowance from their practical placement.

The curriculum is also notable for the upcoming Forschungskindergarten, a research kindergarten that will enable observation of children aged 0 to 6, providing immediate data for students' academic projects.
