Applications close 15 Jun.

Mathematical Analysis and Modelling (MAM) is a two-year Master's programme taught entirely in English. It provides students with a solid background in applied mathematics, covering methods used across natural sciences, engineering, architecture and the social sciences. Students gain knowledge of effective problem-solving approaches and develop skills in computational software. Mathematical modelling and analysis are the core tools, applied to areas including physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering mechanics and economics. The programme runs over 4 semesters, beginning in the winter semester. The first two semesters are typically spent in Augsburg with lectures, seminars, a software project and soft-skills courses including language training. The third semester, normally spent at a partner university abroad, can lead to a double degree if the partner institution is located in France, Italy or Spain. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master's thesis and its defence. The programme is offered at the University of Augsburg in Augsburg, Germany.
