Master in Intelligent Systems (ISY)

The Master's programme in Intelligent Systems (ISY) addresses the growing volume of digital information and the need to analyse, structure, and use large, interconnected datasets strategically. The programme draws on current research in artificial intelligence and data science, with an emphasis on systems that learn rather than follow fixed programmed rules. Based on scientific methodology, the three-semester programme trains students to understand, design, and implement complex, distributed, large-scale intelligent systems. Subject areas are organised into four groups: Artificial Intelligence, Design and Realisation of Complex IT Systems, IT Management, and Elective Modules. A central feature is the Intelligent Systems Project, which runs across the first two semesters and engages student teams of four to six on current research topics in computer science. The programme suits students aiming for challenging scientific roles in application-oriented computer science or managerial positions in industry and research.
