About Bachelor in Information Engineering

Applications are due 15 May - 15 July.

The Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering at TU Munich's Heilbronn campus is concerned with the full chain from sensor to IT system to business model. The programme develops knowledge and skills for designing IT systems across the entire lifecycle of information, covering programming languages, algorithms and data structures, software engineering, database systems, computer networks, cyber-physical systems, enterprise architecture management, and business process management. Mathematical foundations including analysis, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics are also part of the curriculum. The six-semester programme starts in the winter semester. The first four semesters build core knowledge in informatics and information theory alongside mathematics. In semesters five and six, students choose a research area from a catalogue of special courses spanning informatics and management, and complete a practical course with industry partners before submitting the Bachelor's thesis. The programme is taught entirely in English, with certain elective modules offered in German. Integrated German language courses are available. The programme is offered at the TU Munich Heilbronn campus in Heilbronn, Germany.
