The Master of Science in Information and Communication Systems at Chemnitz University of Technology is an English-language programme addressing future challenges in information and communication technologies. All students complete a set of general compulsory modules covering Design of Digital Systems, Advanced Mobile and V2X Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Basics of Microwave and Photonic Systems 1, and Next Generation Internet. Building on these, students choose one of two specialisation tracks: Information Processing Technologies or Communication Systems. Each track has specific compulsory and elective modules. The four-semester programme starts in the winter semester. The first two semesters cover general and track-specific compulsory subjects. In the third semester, students choose between a research project at the university or a research internship. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master's thesis. A basic German language certificate at A1 level must be submitted with the application, and A2 level must be reached by the end of the third semester.
