The Master of Science in Information and Communication Engineering at Technical University of Darmstadt is an interdisciplinary programme concerned with the theory and application of information transmission and processing. It covers communication techniques and algorithms, microelectronic integration of hardware and software solutions, and applications across mobile and multimedia communication, coding, data compression, security, image processing, and medical systems. Technical areas addressed include microelectronics, electronic systems design, communication technology, communication systems, computer science and media technology, information technology, device technology and circuit design, machine learning, and matrix analysis and computations. The four-semester programme is structured as three semesters of lectures, seminars, and projects, followed by the Master's thesis in the fourth semester.
