Industrial Mechanics

This programme trains students to install, repair, overhaul, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. It focuses on practical, hands-on skills in mechanical systems and equipment. Students gain experience in welding, blueprint reading, and pipe fitting. The programme prepares graduates for roles in industrial settings across western Canada.

One year, full-time, 50% shop time, 50% class time, includes two-week work experience.

Graduates work as construction millwrights or industrial mechanics in industries such as oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, and power generation.

Grade 12 with Foundations of Math 20, Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 20, or Pre-Calculus 20. English language requirement. Alternative admission available through ACCUPLACER© with specified cut scores. Applicants may also meet requirements with 15 approved post-secondary credits.

On-campus, full-time, one year.
