This programme prepares students for careers as heavy equipment mechanics. It focuses on repairing and maintaining diesel engines and components of industrial, agricultural, forestry, and construction machinery. Students gain practical and theoretical skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. They learn to diagnose and solve mechanical problems according to manufacturer guidelines.

Duration: 2 years (full-time). Format: In-person. No co-op or practicum mentioned.

Graduates enter careers in construction, mining, agriculture, and forestry companies.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. One credit in French: FIF3U, FRA3C, FRA3U, FIF4U, FRA4C, FRA4U or equivalent. One credit in math: MCR3U, MBF3C, MCF3M, MAP4C, MCT4C or equivalent. International students must provide English language proficiency if they do not have an Ontario secondary school diploma.
