About Health Care Assistant Certificate

Tuition is International student tuition is $18,500 CAD for the full program.. Applications for the Jan 2027 intake are due by Dec 1, 2026.

Students complete theory courses, lab skills, and clinical practicums in real health care settings. They learn to provide personal care to clients in complex care, dementia care, acute care, and community environments. Training covers personal care nursing, common health challenges, and cognitive and mental health needs. Students work with patients who have specialized requirements under supervision.

8 months, 30.00 credits, includes clinical practicums.

Graduates work as health care assistants in long-term care, home support, and community health settings.

High school graduation or 18 years old with Grade 10 English (C or higher). Must meet BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry English language requirements. Submit cover letter, resume, three reference letters, and criminal record check. Interview may be required.

On-campus, full-time, 8 months.
