The curriculum is divided into two main parts: the first focuses on research methods, methodology, statistics, organisational research, evaluation, quality assurance, communication, and cooperation. The second part involves a specialisation in the health sector, where students learn to design, implement, and evaluate preventive or rehabilitative sport programmes. Students acquire the necessary skills in modules such as Forschung, Evaluation, Kommunikation, Konzeption, Prävention and Rehabilitation.

The programme requires students to complete a practical training period, which can be done abroad, or alternatively, participate in a research project. Graduates are prepared to plan, implement, and evaluate movement programmes for individuals with various health conditions in settings such as associations, insurance companies, health insurance funds, and social insurance institutions. Additionally, graduates can take on leadership roles in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare facilities.
