Master in Geosciences

Geosciences at the University of Potsdam is a research-oriented Master's programme that trains students in modern geosciences both as a fundamental science and in applied contexts, with an emphasis on Earth system research and its relevance to global environmental change. Students gain in-depth specialist knowledge alongside interdisciplinary skills. The programme is available for both winter and summer semester entry and runs over four semesters. Three majors are offered: geology, geophysics, and mineralogy/petrology. It is also possible to complete the degree without selecting a major. Final admission to the programme is determined by the Examination Board for Geosciences. The programme is taught at the University of Potsdam in Potsdam, Germany.
