Master in Applied Geosciences

Bremen, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Applied Geosciences at the University of Bremen is a 4-semester Master's programme that builds in-depth knowledge in applied geosciences and trains students to work independently on complex tasks in terrestrial topics. Elective modules allow students to build an individual study profile across engineering geology and hydrology, applied sedimentology, and geophysics, with additional elective focus possible on topics such as geohazards, renewable energies, and glaciology. Freely selectable competence modules supplement the methodological foundation students bring from their undergraduate training. The programme is connected to leading institutions in applied geosciences, including the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems, the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, and the Bremen State Geological Office. It is offered in the winter semester at the University of Bremen in Bremen, Germany.
