About the Program

Each week you will design and conduct your own research project, gather and analyse data, and write up findings for your doctoral thesis, with regular progress meetings and seminars to discuss methodology and results.

This programme is for candidates who already hold a 2:1 Honours degree and a Masters in a discipline related to geography or environmental sciences, and who have a clear research idea they wish to develop under expert supervision.

Supervisors provide guidance while you benefit from university facilities and libraries, aiming to produce a high-quality thesis over three years of full-time study.
