Bachelor in Food Science

Graduates of the Food Science programme go on to careers in the food and beverage industry, one of the largest economic sectors in Germany, in roles such as food technologists and food economists. This industry is known for its diversity, with medium-sized companies prevalent. The programme is unique in Germany's higher education landscape, offering a combination of technological and economic training with nutritional topics. From the first semester, students work in laboratories and in the fourth semester, undertake a practical industry phase. Students can choose between two specialisations: Food Technology (Bachelor of Engineering) or Food Economics (Bachelor of Science).
