This program focuses on combining food service management with nutrition, particularly for seniors and long-term care settings. Students learn to conduct nutrition assessments and modify diets for therapeutic needs. The curriculum includes Indigenous food practices and reconciliation through food. Practical training occurs in culinary labs, simulation centers, and community partnerships.

Two years, full-time, on-campus. Includes a practicum in the second year. Co-op work permit required for practicum.

Graduates work as food service supervisors, dietary technicians, cafeteria managers, or nutrition managers in hospitals, long-term care, schools, and other institutions.

Grade 12 or equivalent. English language requirement. International students must have a co-op work permit. Criminal record check may be required. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience needed. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER scores or 15 post-secondary credits.
