Master in Finance and accounting

Finance and Accounting, offered as the Master in Finance major at the University of Gdansk, is a master's degree program taught in English over two years, with yearly tuition set at PLN 7,000. The curriculum gives Bachelor's-level graduates the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of finance and to develop skills and competencies in the investment process. The degree is open to both domestic and foreign students, and a strong undergraduate background in finance together with English language fluency are the necessary prerequisites for success. Alongside mainstream subjects such as portfolio construction, risk management, and the valuation of financial instruments, students are taught modern quantitative methods and learn about recent innovations in finance. The program emphasizes ethics and professional standards, legal and governance issues, and the behavioral aspects of financial markets. Mandatory courses are complemented by a selection of elective courses that students choose according to their individual interests, and the curriculum covers a significant number of topics from levels two and three of the CFA Program curriculum. The study program is closely linked to the needs of business practice, with the stated goal of training graduates who are sought after by employers operating in financial markets, both in Poland and abroad. Faculty include university professors and recognized professionals, and business community partners contribute to both the curriculum's content and its teaching, giving students a program grounded in current market practice.
