About Master in Finance

Finance at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is a part-time master's degree program taught in English over two years. Run according to global financial standards, it is aimed at students who want to explore the world of finance in depth. Core subjects include strategic management, analysis of financial instruments, advanced corporate finance, portfolio management, advanced financial reporting, taxation, monetary policy, and financial stability. Students also choose between two specializations, Fintech Data Scientist and Advanced Financial Management, which let them focus either on technology-driven finance or on broader financial management practice. Teaching combines theoretical grounding with applied skills intended to prepare graduates for roles in enterprise finance and in financial markets. Because the program is pitched at an advanced level, students often find internship opportunities during their studies and move into employment after graduation. The cohort includes international students, and courses are led by both Polish and international professors and lecturers. Graduates leave with advanced professional knowledge of finance, including accounting and financial reporting, financial risk management, and financial decision-making. They gain an understanding of how financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, investment funds, and pension funds, along with companies and public institutions, arrive at complex financial decisions, and they develop the ability to analyze complex economic and financial processes and entities. More broadly, a master's degree of this kind builds skills in financial modeling, valuation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, subjects that support careers in investment banking, corporate treasury, asset management, and financial consulting. Wrocław, home to the university, is one of Poland's larger academic centers, giving students a base from which to pursue internships and early-career opportunities in the regional finance sector.
