This programme trains students in industrial welding and metal fabrication. It focuses on practical skills for working with metals in various industries. Students learn to interpret drawings and use multiple welding processes. They gain hands-on experience in shop environments and complete qualification tests.

Focus areas include welding, steel fabrication, metal forming, trade safety, print reading, shop management.

One-year programme with 60 credits. Includes a one-week work experience. No co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates work as welders or steel fabricators in industries such as construction, mining, manufacturing, and petroleum.

Grade 12 with Foundations of Math 20, Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 20, or Pre-Calculus 20. English language requirement. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER© with scores of 250 Arithmetic and 243 Reading.
