This one-year Experimental Oral Pathology (Oral Sciences) MSc at Queen Mary University of London, based in the Whitechapel campus, is part of the Dentistry programme. It introduces students to the principles of experimental pathology in oral disease, and provides comprehensive training in laboratory research methods. The programme also includes a research project that aims to study the behaviour of oral tissues in health and disease. Students will learn about the application of these concepts to oral and dental disease, as well as related disciplines such as oral microbiology and immunology. Students will be taught by distinguished international experts and have regular contact with them throughout the programme. The programme can be followed full-time for one year, starting in September 2026.

Students can attend the annual stem cell conference and an HIV symposium as part of the programme as well as work as an integrated member of one of the research teams. The programme is also available for intercalating BDS Dentistry students.

The Whitechapel campus is equipped with facilities including 11 dedicated seminar rooms, 92 production laboratory spaces, digital imaging and two cutting-edge cone beam CT machines.
