Bachelor in European Media Studies (BA)

The European Media Studies BA at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and the University of Potsdam has a unique cooperative arrangement, providing students with access to both aesthetic-theoretical and cultural-historical knowledge. This partnership fosters a high proportion of project-based learning and an integrated internship, equipping students with the skills to analyse, design, and critique media processes, including cultural economics. The curriculum covers a wide range of media techniques and practices, with a focus on European cultural, media, and legal spaces.

Students will engage in modules such as Introduction to Media Cultural Studies, Technical and creative foundations of digital media, and Media law and cultural economics. The programme is designed to prepare graduates for a variety of roles in publishing, broadcasting, digital media, curatorial work, and more.
