The Master's Programme in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) is a four-semester degree in which students study at two different EU partner universities. The consortium comprises Saarland University (coordinator), the University of Lorraine, Charles University in the Czech Republic, the University of Groningen, and the University of the Basque Country. Students complete coursework split equally between their two chosen institutions. The programme combines core modules with specialised modules in Language Technologies and Computer Science, a project, and a master's thesis. The specialised modules reflect each partner institution's particular research and teaching strengths and therefore vary across locations. The programme includes both a research project and a thesis component. The LCT programme has been in operation since 2006 and received Erasmus Mundus funding across several periods. The programme is offered by Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany.
