Bachelor in Ergaenzungsfach Kunstgeschichte

Students of the Ergänzungsfach Kunstgeschichte program at the University of Siegen investigate the history of art and visual culture through trans-cultural and global interconnections, even exploring the Institut Kunst. You learn how art and aesthetic phenomena shape society and knowledge production, and understand the links between art, media, and cultural history.

The program builds your ability to independently analyse aesthetic phenomena and develop methodological skills to argue and criticise art-related questions. You gain competence in historical, social, ecological, and socio-economic contexts, and work across disciplinary boundaries, including partners in the Institut Kunst.
