Students conduct fieldwork and lab studies in the Fort McMurray area to monitor water, soil, and ecosystems. They use mapping technology and collect environmental samples during outdoor labs and field trips. The program includes a co-op work term where students gain professional experience in environmental science. Classroom instruction covers environmental management, resource exploitation, and conservation practices.

Focus areas include Water & Soil Monitoring, Field Techniques & GIS, Environmental Management, Plant & Ecosystems, Wildlife Management, Land Reclamation.

2 years (5 terms), 60 credits, includes a co-op work term.

Graduates work as environmental technicians, field technologists, or conservation assistants in resource management and environmental monitoring.

High school diploma or equivalent with English 30-1, Math 30-1, Chemistry 30, Biology 30. Mature students (21+) must meet the same requirements. English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79 (no section below 19), IELTS Academic 6.0, CAEL 60, MELAB 80, Duolingo 100, PTE Academic 50.
