Bachelor in English Language and Literature

English Language and Literature examines works of literature written in English alongside the structure and development of the language itself. Coursework typically covers British and American literature across historical periods, literary theory and criticism, linguistics, and comparative literature, with close reading and analytical writing forming a central part of study. Students also explore drama, poetry, and the novel, along with the cultural and historical contexts that shaped major literary movements. The program develops strong skills in critical analysis, argumentation, and written and spoken English communication. Graduates pursue careers in teaching, publishing, journalism, editing, and content writing, as well as roles in cultural institutions, media, and further graduate study in literature or linguistics.
