Bachelor in Engineering Science (BEng)

This seven-semester bachelor's programme at Hof University of Applied Sciences covers industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and mechatronics within a single integrated curriculum taught in English. The first semester is available entirely online, giving students a flexible start. Semesters one and two concentrate on fundamentals including mathematics, mechanics, computer science, materials science, and project management, while semesters three and four move into core specialisations across manufacturing technologies, electrical systems, and statistics. Semesters five and six build advanced topics in production engineering, design engineering, automation and robotics, logistics, and business administration, with elective options covering AI, smart factories, and sustainable manufacturing. Mandatory German language training is integrated throughout, with a target of level B2 by graduation. The seventh semester is dedicated to a compulsory internship and the bachelor's thesis, frequently conducted in collaboration with industrial partners.
