About the Program

This master's programme concentrates on smart building technologies, covering building automation, building information modelling, decentralised energy management systems, and the application of digital twin and artificial intelligence in built environments. Students also study project, risk, and change management to develop skills in planning, executing, and reviewing building infrastructure projects. The programme runs over four semesters, with intakes in both the winter and summer semester. Alongside the technical content, modules cover innovation management, facility management, and product lifecycle management. Students complete the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Programme (SMSCP) and obtain the certification at levels one through three during their studies. Practical projects run throughout the curriculum, building intercultural, negotiation, and communication skills. The fourth semester is dedicated to a company project or internship, a research and development methods module, and the master's thesis.
