Emergency Prehospital Care

Tuition is CAD 0 per year (domestic).

This programme is a two-year college diploma delivered on campus in a full-time format. It includes five academic sessions, with the final session focused on a capstone experience. Students complete clinical and field placements throughout the program, including a major practicum in the third year.

Students learn emergency medical response skills, patient assessment, trauma care, and life support techniques. They train in simulated environments and real-world settings. The curriculum covers anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency vehicle operations. Practical training includes using medical equipment and managing emergency situations.

Admission is competitive and based on academic records. Applicants must meet general college admission requirements. Those who did not study secondary school in French in Quebec or France must take a mandatory French language test. A valid Class 5 probationary driver's licence is required by November of the third session to access ambulance training.
