This programme is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience in the electrical trade. Students learn the skills needed to become an apprenticed electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The curriculum covers practical training in electrical systems and compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code. Students complete the first year of technical training required for electrician apprenticeships.

1 year, full-time, on-campus, 24 weeks, no co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates enter roles as apprentice electricians in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.

B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or 19 years old and out of school for at least one year. English 12 with minimum 50% or alternatives. Math requirement: minimum 67% in specified courses or 85% on Trades Entrance Assessment. Applicants who did not meet math requirement within last seven years must write TEA Math test.

On-campus, full-time, 24 weeks.
