About Bachelor in Economics Degree (Hons)

Tuition fees are 33,851 USD per year.

The programme runs over three full-time years. In the first year all students take a common set of core economics modules that introduce micro- and macro-theory, quantitative methods and the institutional context of markets. From the second year onward students follow one of three pathways – a general economics track, an econometrics track that deepens statistical and modelling skills, or a behavioural economics track that adds psychology-based analysis.

The degree examines how individuals, firms and governments make decisions, how those choices affect wealth distribution and how policy can influence outcomes. Lectures are complemented by small-group tutorials and by work in specialist facilities such as the behavioural economics laboratory and the Financial Laboratory, which provides a realistic trading-room environment with Bloomberg terminals.

Students can tailor their learning with optional modules on topics such as international banking, risk management or public economics, and gain practical experience through a short internship, a summer school, a semester abroad or a year-in-employment placement. The course prepares graduates for careers in finance, consultancy, public policy and related fields.
