Master in Economic Policy

The Master's in Economic Policy at Siegen (MEPS) is a four-semester programme taught in English at the University of Siegen. It focuses on economic theory, econometric techniques, and empirical analysis applied to policy-relevant issues. The programme begins in the winter semester each October and awards 120 credit points in total. The curriculum includes four compulsory modules worth 30 credit points, covering fundamental economic and econometric theories and techniques. Students then choose from 23 elective modules worth 75 credit points, including basic, specialisation, and research options spanning development economics, international trade, labour market and social policy, public finance, economic growth, and business administration topics. The Master's thesis accounts for 15 credit points. Some modules from related programmes are available in German as electives. The programme is based at the University of Siegen in Siegen, Germany.
