Encompassing the study of European and German history, the

Double Licence

in History and German grants a dual degree through the University of Potsdam, Germany, and Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC) in France, enabling students to gain proficiency in German language and culture, while studying history on two campuses, and earning two degrees in three years.

Students of this programme gain fluency in German, and explore the history of Europe, Germany and their relation to France, through modules that range from the Middle Ages to contemporary history. The programme is designed to equip students to pursue further study in History or German Studies, or to enter fields such as cultural mediation, diplomacy, or journalism.
