This PhD programme is part of the OPHY lab, focusing on the development of new technologies in the fields of optics, photonics, and microwave engineering. Your studies will involve research on specific topics such as fiber optics, optical communications, and microwave systems. You will develop expertise in experimental and theoretical methods in electronics and optoelectronics, and in particular the use of ultra-broadband and ultra-high frequency techniques. Strong emphasis is placed on the application of these technologies to telecommunications and information processing, as well as to other sectors such as security, biomass energy, and environmental monitoring. The programme is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed for international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility. The course lasts for 3 years.
