Doctorat Histoire médiévale

Graduates of the Doctorat Histoire médiévale go on to pursue careers in academia, museums, and cultural institutions, or further study in related fields. The curriculum is supported by the Centre de Recherche Rhône-Alpes en Histoire (CRHR)

The Doctorat Histoire médiévale is a research-oriented program, where students develop expertise in medieval history. This PhD programme focuses on the Middle Ages in Europe, with a particular emphasis on France. Students work closely with faculty members from the Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne.

Students engage in independent research, contributing to the academic discourse on medieval topics. They have the opportunity to publish, present at conferences, and collaborate with peers and faculty members. Students are encouraged to explore diverse methodologies and approaches in their research, fostering a rich and dynamic academic environment.
