The Doctoral Programme in Medicine, Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering focuses on clinical medicine, biomedicine, translational research, molecular biology, bioinformatics and systems biology, cell and tissue technology, biomaterials, biomedical equipment and technology, biophysics, and health technology. Research in the program is described as international in character, and students from abroad regularly apply. The program prepares graduates to work as researchers and experts in both domestic and international settings. Alongside research training, students complete study modules covering professional skills such as written and oral communication, project management, problem solving, and teamwork. The program runs for four years, starting September 2026, and leads to a doctoral degree. The work of the program contributes to the development of new biomedical devices and methods, medical skills for patient care, and the evidence-based development and application of new therapies.
