The Doctoral Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering covers two major subjects: Chemical Engineering (kemiteknik) and Chemical Engineering (process- och energiteknik). Research in this area deals with complex engineering systems requiring an integrated view across multiple knowledge domains, from fundamental physical and chemical phenomena through experimentation, modelling, simulation, control, and optimisation, to the planning, construction, and operation of industrial facilities. Economic, environmental, and energy-technological considerations are all part of this scope. The programme runs for four years starting in January 2026 and is offered at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland.
