This programme of Digitalisering og ledelse for school leaders is financially supported by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, which provides the funding for the modules.

It is organized into 7 learning modules, spread out over two semesters, with four modules in the fall semester and three in the spring. Modules are held at UiA's Kristiansand campus in southern Norway, with each module lasting two days and featuring a mix of lectures, case studies, group work, and discussions. Modules are led by professors Cathrine E. Tømte and Øystein Sæbø, who are responsible for the programme’s academic direction and teaching content.

This programme aims to build skills in digtal leadership among school leaders in the context of the national rector training. Its curriculum includes practical exercises, theoretical reflections, and mandatory assignments between meetings. It is designed to give school leaders a deep understanding of the professional competencies, frameworks, and strategic goals needed to lead digitalization efforts in their schools, while also developing their reflective and practical leadership skills. School leaders will explore topics such as how to strategically implement digital tools and resources, and how to manage the challenges that arise from different schools’ contexts and practices.
