About the Program

Students who thrive on interdisciplinarity and are eager to enhance their digital literacy will find a home in the Digital Humanities bachelor's minor. This programme, offered in English and German, enhances their employability by equipping them with skills in machine learning, web technologies and the application of digital technologies to cultural artefacts.

Machine Learning

Students engage in the Praxisprojekt where they complete a project of at least 180 hours or a 4.5-week internship (which can be abroad) in a field relevant to their programme. They conclude this project with a report to earn 6 credits.

Modules are chosen from one of these fields: Bild – Objekt – Raum, Sprache – Text – Literatur, Geschichte – Kultur – Vermittlung, Musik digital, and Kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Reflexionen über Digitalität.

Digital Humanities students learn to critically assess the cultural, social, and ethical aspects of digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

Graduates find roles in public relations, social knowledge work, cultural work, and digital information systems.
