European University Viadrina

Master in Digital Entrepreneurship

Frankfurt (Oder), Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The Master of Digital Entrepreneurship (MoDE) at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is a four-semester programme taught in English. It is a joint academic project with Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań in Poland, offered through the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS), a cross-border institution focused on digitalisation. The programme is built around a student-defined project — digital, creative, and oriented toward a social or commercial purpose. Students develop their project over all four semesters, supported by a coworking space, small course groups, and close collaboration with academic staff. The first part of the programme introduces the theoretical and methodological foundations of digitalisation from perspectives drawn from law, economics, social sciences, and computer sciences, alongside practical skills in project management, technical topics, and business. The second part allows students to focus on their individual or group project, complete an internship, and write the Master's thesis. Example courses include Digital Law and Ethics, Theories of Management in the Digital World, Sociology of Technology and Digital Society, Computer Science in Management, and Web Design. Graduates leave with a grounding in ethics, market analysis, business organisation, and the integration of digital technologies in entrepreneurial contexts. The programme is based at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
