Master in Deutsch + Kunst

Students in the Deutsch + Kunst programme study both subjects in equal measure, adhering to the structure of the Bayerische LPO I. In the 7-semester programme, students undertake a combination of Fachwissenschaft, Fachdidaktik, and Erziehungswissenschaften (EWS) modules, alongside practical experiences in schools. The programme culminates in the Erstes Staatsexamen, after which students undertake a 24-month Referendariat, and finally, the Zweites Staatsexamen. Students benefit from the close-knit community at the Universität Bamberg, with renowned alumni including Thomas Kastura and Kathrin Schrocke, who credit their studies with preparing them for successful careers in literature and education. The curriculum is designed to foster both creative and analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on practical teaching experience.
