About Dental Hygiene

For Dental Hygiene, tuition is Year 1 - $11,140, Year 2 - $18,970, Year 3 - $12,720 for the 2026-27 academic year., while applications for the Sep 2026 intake close on Dec 31, 2026.

Students perform clinical assessments and provide preventive dental care under supervision in a university dental clinic. They gain hands-on experience in oral health education, X-ray exposure, and patient treatment planning. Classroom and lab instruction focus on ethical, professional dental hygiene practices. Students develop critical thinking and manual dexterity for patient care and health promotion.

Three-year program with 90 credits; includes clinical experiences and practicum; full-time on-campus study.

Graduates work as dental hygienists in private practices, public health clinics, educational institutions, and government agencies.

Grade 12 with minimum 70% in English Language Arts 30, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and one of Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30. English language requirement for international students. Must provide current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C with AED, WHMIS GHS certification, criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and proof of immunizations.

On-campus, full-time, three years.
