About Culinary Arts

Tuition is Year 1 - $10,060; Year 2 - $9,010.

This programme prepares students for careers as chefs, cooks, and kitchen managers. Students gain hands-on training in commercial kitchens across multiple culinary disciplines. The curriculum covers baking, food production, fine dining, and kitchen management. Graduates are ready to work in restaurants, hotels, catering, and institutional settings.

Focus areas include baking and pastry, catering and special event cooking, contemporary cuisine and modern food trends, field to fork experience, fine dining, regional foods and Indigenous foods.

Four semesters; full-time on-campus; includes hands-on learning and participation in actual food events.

Graduates qualify for roles such as first cook, sous chef, pastry chef, chef de partie, banquet chef, garde manager, junior chef, or kitchen supervisor.

Grade 12; must be 18 years old by program start date; English language requirement; alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER© with scores of 250 Arithmetic and 237 Reading.

On-campus, full-time; duration is four semesters.
