Critical Care Nursing

For Critical Care Nursing, tuition is $4,590 for the 2026-27 academic year.

This advanced certificate program is delivered through a blend of online education and hands-on lab and clinical practicum experiences in Saskatchewan. It is designed for practicing registered nurses who want to expand their skills in critical care. Students build knowledge in patient- and family-centered care, anatomy and physiology, assessment, diagnosis, and management of multi-system dysfunction. The program prepares graduates to work in intensive care, cardiac care, and surgical intensive care units.

12 months; 30 credit units; includes clinical practicum and simulation experience.

Graduates are qualified to work as critical care nurses in intensive care, cardiac care, and surgical intensive care units.

Applicants must hold active licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). English language requirement is met through CRNS licensure. Applicants must complete clinical placement in Saskatchewan. For January 2027 intake, applicants without recent acute care experience must complete NURS 1726 before starting the program.
